Privacy Policy

The Short Version

The necessary legalese is below, but the essence of our privacy policy is simple:

  • We never give out, or sell, any of our users' personal information to anyone, ever.
  • All personally identifiable information ('PII') maintained by the system is encrypted and secured.
  • For my paying clients, no credit card information is stored by the system. All such data is managed by a reputable third-party credit card processing company, Braintree Payments, owned by PayPal.

'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII), as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?
The names and email addresses of my clients are collected when they register on the site. This information is maintained within the system, in encrypted form. For clients with paid-for subscriptions, the client's credit card information is collected when their subscription is setup. This credit card information is not maintained within the system - it is passed on to the credit card processing company that we use for e-commerce transactions.

Clients can change their personal information by emailing us, or by logging into their account.

How do we protect your information?
The website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make the site as safe as possible.

Personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all personal/sensitive/financial information supplied is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Do we use 'cookies'?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a website transfers to a computer's hard drive through a Web browser (if permitted) that enables the website to recognize the browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies only to remember users' login names, to avoid them having to enter it every time they login to the website.

Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.
